Our Monthly External Prayer Focus
Contrary to popular opinion, prayer is doing something! Each month we focus on one area, agency, or group in our community and pray for that concern specifically. We post the prayer concern on our church marquee and email out specific ways to pray and also serve or volunteer when possible (you can sign up for emails here). Seeking the welfare of our city and community begins with prayer!
We currently provide van pickup transportation to our 9AM worship service which returns after the 10AM discipleship/Sunday School hour. If you are within 5 miles of our church and need a ride, contact us before Wednesday at 5PM for the coming Sunday.
Contact Bill Bryant to schedule your ride to worship!
Prayer Shawl Ministry
FUMC Graham is blessed with several people who knit and/or crochet and are using their talent to make prayer shawls to give to those who are in special need of God's love, comfort, and compassion. Contact Jeanne Owen or Nancy Gant for more info.
Our church is committed to helping empower and equip students to truly engage their world with passion and compassion in Jesus' name. Over the years, special gifts have allowed us to develop a program of academic loans and scholarships. We currently have ten scholarships and one educational loan fund. Communion for Shut-ins
Those who are unable to attend church are given opportunity to receive communion at their place of residence. To receive or assist with this ministry, contact the church office.
Cub Scout Pack 41 meets during the School Year at FUMC on Monday nights at 7-8 pm in Stafford Hall. (The Well/Gym room).
Boy Scout Pack 41 meets year round on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 in the Scout House beside the church on Market Street. To connect or serve with our scout ministries, contact Noel Peyton for more info.
Robeson County Mission and Wheelchair Ramps
Every summer we send a mission work team of youth and adults to Robeson County to help build wheelchair ramps and address other concerns for families that are in need of assistance. We also occasionally identify local needs in Alamance County and do the same. Contact Luanne Lowe for more info.
One of our most active ministry teams is those who work with our library. This team keeps our library full of new and relevant books and materials for all age groups. Each year they have several programs to encourage young readers for both our Playschool and our church children and their families. In addition, they serve regularly at South Graham Elementary school and work side by side with the library there! Contact Linda Folgeman for more info about using the library or serving on this team.
